Our client, Southwark Council, is looking for a Community Engagement Manager to join their team on an interim basis for initially six months.
The role leads the corporate engagement function working to provide professional advice and support to senior management, cabinet members as well as to services across the council. The role also manages a large grants programme that fund multiple services and programmes in the voluntary and community sector in Southwark. The department also manages statutory and non-statutory consultations for the council. Anyone being considered for the role will need significant experience in managing engagement and grants programmes in a regulated sector as well as dealing with senior stakeholders, including elected members.
