We are seeking a skilled and motivated Audio Visual (AV) Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of AV systems, including but not limited to video conferencing, digital signage, sound systems, and AV control systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of service for our clients by providing on-site technical support and ensuring systems are running at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Setup: Perform installation of AV equipment at client locations, ensuring systems are properly configured and meet project specifications.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with AV systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintenance & Support: Conduct routine maintenance on AV systems to prevent technical issues and extend equipment life.
- Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients in the field, offering exceptional customer service and professional communication.
- System Testing: Conduct tests and ensure AV systems meet performance standards before deployment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including system configurations, troubleshooting logs, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaboration: Work with the project management team, engineers, and other field technicians to ensure successful project completion.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in the AV industry, with hands-on field service experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in AV equipment such as projectors, audio mixers, microphones, video conferencing systems, control systems, and other related technologies.
- Certification: AVIXA (CTS) certification or equivalent is highly desirable. Other relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Extron, Crestron, or Biamp).
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, understand their needs, and provide effective solutions.
- Driving License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (you may need to drive between client locations).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move AV equipment (up to 50 pounds), as well as work in various physical environments, including conference rooms, offices, and auditoriums.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of networked AV systems and IT integration (e.g., video over IP, streaming protocols).
- Familiarity with control systems such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Experience in commercial AV installations, including meeting rooms, classrooms, and event spaces
