Location: Office-Based - Rotherhithe

Reporting to: Head of Operations

Salary: 50,000 per annum

A growing provider of Managed Print and IT Services is seeking a dynamic Head of IT to lead internal IT operations and deliver high-quality support to a diverse client base. Known for helping businesses work more efficiently and sustainably, the company combines practical technology solutions with a focus on service excellence.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, can lead and develop teams, and is confident managing complex IT infrastructure and customer-facing projects.

Role Overview

As Head of IT, you will be responsible for managing the internal IT function and overseeing the Professional Services Help Desk, ensuring service delivery meets high standards across all channels. You will play a key role in shaping the IT strategy, supporting business growth, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the IT and Professional Services Help Desk team, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of IT and print-related projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain and develop IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Support pre-sales activity by joining client meetings and providing technical guidance where required.
  • Monitor service desk performance against KPIs and SLAs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure value and alignment with business needs.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with relevant technology trends and evaluate their potential value to the business.

About You

  • Experience in a senior IT management role, ideally in a service-led or customer-focused business.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Solid technical understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and security.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and delivering IT transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of managed services and/or UCaaS platforms would be advantageous.
