With sustainability at the forefront of their business strategy, they are now seeking an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join their London team. Role Overview:
As a Sustainability Consultant, you will support the development and delivery of sustainability strategies across multiple projects. Working closely with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners, you will help the business achieve its ambitious environmental goals and maintain industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise project teams on sustainability strategy and implementation throughout all phases of construction.
Lead BREEAM, WELL, LEED, and other accreditation processes across projects.
Support carbon reduction initiatives, including embodied carbon assessments and carbon management plans.
Monitor project sustainability performance, analyse data, and report on KPIs such as carbon, energy, waste, and social value metrics.
Collaborate with clients and external stakeholders to promote sustainable solutions and best practices.
Develop and deliver sustainability-related training and awareness sessions internally.
Ensure supply chain partners comply with responsible sourcing and sustainable procurement practices.
Candidate Requirements:
Degree-qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a sustainability role within the construction sector, ideally with a main contractor.
Strong working knowledge of BREEAM (BREEAM AP/Assessor desirable), WELL, and/or LEED certifications.
Familiarity with carbon management and life-cycle assessment tools (e.g., OneClick LCA, CIBSE TM65).
Comprehensive understanding of UK building regulations, planning policy, and industry best practices.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills.
Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, balancing technical detail with practical delivery
