Principal Consultant - Air Quality



Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant - Air Quality to lead our client's UK team across London, Brighton, or Milton Keynes. This role combines strategic leadership with technical expertise in UK air quality regulations, modeling, and environmental consultancy.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the air quality team, driving strategy and excellence.
  • Deliver air quality assessments aligned with UK regulations and frameworks.
  • Utilize air quality modeling tools (e.g., ADMS-Roads, ADMS 6.0) for advanced analysis.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mentor and develop team members to foster innovation and professional growth.
  • Support business development through proposals and client relationship management.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry advancements in air quality modeling.


Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field.
  • 8-10+ years of air quality consultancy or relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK air quality regulations and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in air quality modeling tools (e.g., ADMS-Roads, ADMS 6.0).
  • Familiarity with GIS tools and spatial data analysis (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to engage with clients and deliver impactful consultancy solutions.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead projects, perform air quality modeling, and deliver insightful client reports.
  • Engage clients to provide customized consultancy solutions.
  • Support team members' technical and professional development.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of methods and tools.
  • Attend client meetings, workshops, and presentations.
