Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: 50,000 - 65,000 + Benefits
A respected and growing environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its London office. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to lead high-profile projects, shape technical direction, and contribute to the strategic growth of the business across London and the UK.
The Role
As a Principal Consultant, you will take responsibility for the delivery of complex air quality and emissions modelling projects across diverse sectors such as infrastructure, urban development, transport, and energy.
Operating on a hybrid basis, you will balance time between the London office and remote work, supporting the expansion of the consultancy's air quality capabilities throughout the South East and nationally.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery of air quality and emissions modelling projects.
Oversee technical work, including dispersion modelling (ADMS, AERMOD) and detailed technical reviews.
Prepare and sign off Environmental Statement chapters and associated technical reports.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development and proposal writing.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior consultants.
Represent the consultancy in meetings with clients, regulators, and planning authorities.
About You
Minimum of 6 years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulatory work.
Strong knowledge of IAQM/EPUK guidance and relevant UK environmental legislation.
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or a related field.
Chartered status (CEnv or IAQM) preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Full UK driving licence.
