Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: 50,000 - 65,000 + Benefits

A leading environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal Air Quality Consultant to strengthen its London team. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced air quality specialist to lead major projects, support growth, and guide a developing team within a flexible hybrid setup.

As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you'll take technical ownership of complex air quality and EIA work across transport, infrastructure, and urban development. You'll act as a trusted technical lead-managing modelling, reporting, and compliance while mentoring junior staff and contributing to long-term business development in the London region.

Key Duties:

• Lead air quality assessments and dispersion modelling projects

• Produce EIA air quality chapters, compliance assessments & technical reports

• Manage and grow key client relationships

• Provide technical leadership and QA across the team

• Mentor junior consultants and support their development

• Liaise with regulators, planners, and local authorities

Requirements:

• 6+ years' experience in air quality consultancy/regulation

• Strong experience with ADMS, AERMOD & IAQM/EPUK guidance

• Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography or similar

• Chartered or working towards (CEnv/IAQM preferred)

• Strong project & client management capability

• Full UK driving licence
