Event Planning Team Leader Located - City of London, 5 days in the office £41k plus benefits, Monday - Friday The Opportunity:An award-winning Corporate Hospitality Guest Services provider are looking for an Event Planning Team Leader to join the Guest Services team within a prominent corporate headquarters. You will be managing a team of five event planners taking the lead on larger conference organisation, ensuring exceptional service is delivered across all meetings and event space. The role will be to ensure that all events are created, accurate function sheets documented, and all parties involved to the success of the event have the relevant details to execute the daily program of events. You will be engaging with the hospitality operations team, audio visual and housekeeping plus front of house guest services team from an administrative function sheet standpoint. The role is to motivate and support the events team along with managing client standards. Your main objectives will include:* Taking ownership of the planning and execution of conferences, events & meeting ensuring that all function sheets are accurate and detailed * Team welfare, motivating & leading the events team to exceed client expectations, support your team by leading from the front. You will be responsible for weekly one to one's identification of training needs ensuring PDP plans are in place * Briefing your team on current events and schedule and diary management * Creating new processes and enhancing ways to innovate events offering, You will be in a position to advise the internal stakeholders supporting them with their food and beverage selection, meeting room set up's etc* Managing client expectations & handling complaints, ensuring that the internal stakeholders are kept informed and managed to ensure that are happy with the event planning and executionThis is a genuinely unique role working at a prestigious company with a global reputation offering you unrivalled career progression and development.Ideally you will have the following background: * Experience of leading an Events Team ideally within a Five Star Hotel Hospitality or Corporate environment* Track record of managing events from conception to handover to an operational team * Carrying out development plans and performance management * Strong communication and organisational skills* Strong IT skills
