THE COMPANY

A market leader in its field; this fantastic B2B media company manages a portfolio of products across the travel and hospitality sector. Connecting thousands of professionals across their sector, this organisation creates a vast array of leading publications and deliver a broad variety of more than 160 events across the world each year. Their specialist in-house events team excels in developing an event calendar consisting of conferences, award shows, business breakfasts, executive dinners and roundtable events.

THE ROLE

Due to continued growth they are now looking to grow their team with an Event Executive who will be working closely with the Event Manager and supporting across their busy calendar of events. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting across a range of events across the year, including leading on and managing smaller events in their entirety           
  • Acting as the point of contact for sponsor & exhibitors
  • Handling incoming enquiries and general correspondence
  • Assisting with pre-event preparation and on-site logistics
  • Working closely with internal team & stakeholders, event venues, speakers, hotels and 3rd party suppliers
  • Compiling and maintaining event guestlists
  • Venue sourcing negotiation & liaison
  • Corresponding with speakers and conference agenda management
  • Preparing event materials
  • Attendance at events,
  • Budget management and cost tracking

THE CANDIDATE

To be considered for this Event Executive position we are looking for candidates who have had some exposure to working within a fast-paced events position. Ideally this will be from an event/conference organiser, event agency or a corporate business and exposure to working on conferences as an Event Executive  would be an added benefit.  Previous experience in managing smaller events end to end would be preferred but is not essential for the role. Candidates must be motivated, ambitious and able to work on their own initiative. Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills are key attributes which are required.  Recent graduates with a years experience of working as an Event Executive will also be considered.
