Event Operations Manager

The ClientA leading provider of global corporate networking virtual events and corporate dinners has a fantastic opportunity for an Event Operations Manager to join a highly well-established global team.

Ideal FitThe client is looking for someone experienced in corporate events, preferably within virtual events and networking dinners. The role is ideal for a seasoned Event Operations Manager or an experienced operations professional with three years’ experience ready to step into their first managerial role.

Summary

Essentially, the Event Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the technical and logistical aspects of both online and in-person networking dinner events.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Virtual Events Responsibilities

As Event Operations Manager, your duties will include:

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing the technical and logistical aspects of online events
  • Developing detailed production timelines and run-of-show documents
  • Coordinating with event planners, speakers, vendors, and sponsors
  • Managing platforms (e.g., webinars, live streams, hybrid setups) and technical setups
  • Troubleshooting issues, onboarding speakers, and ensuring event-day excellence
  • Operating virtual platforms and monitoring real-time performance
  • Delivering post-event metrics and analysis, including engagement and ROI

Networking Dinners Responsibilities

In your role as Event Operations Manager, you will also:

  • Identify and manage venue sourcing, contracts, and logistics
  • Oversee guest list management, seating arrangements, and VIP handling
  • Execute detailed event timelines and coordinate with multiple vendors
  • Ensure a high-quality guest experience through ambiance, flow, and engagement strategies
  • Supervise staff and oversee smooth event delivery from setup to breakdown
