Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of large-scale events. This role is responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, from initial design through onsite delivery and post-event reporting. The successful candidate will collaborate with sales, operations, and technical teams to deliver exceptional, profitable events in line with established production standards.

You will ensure clear communication, efficient resource allocation, strong vendor and client relationships, and safe onsite operations, all while keeping timelines, budgets, and quality firmly on track.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Event Management
  • Define project scope, schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.

  • Lead internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • Create and maintain all technical and logistical documentation for each event.

  • Support the sales process by consulting on equipment needs and technical solutions.

  • Ensure event compliance with Health & Safety protocols.

  • Attend client meetings and provide timely responses to questions or issues.

Event Execution
  • Act as the primary onsite project lead and client contact throughout the event.

  • Manage load-in, live operations, and load-out of all event components.

  • Communicate event plans, updates, and changes to all stakeholders in real-time.

  • Oversee inventory and ensure correct and safe use of all equipment and personnel.

  • Mentor team members, reinforce best practices, and promote process improvements.

  • Ensure technical and production standards are followed consistently.

Financial Management
  • Assist in budgeting and cost analysis, optimizing use of external labour and rentals.

  • Monitor project spend and ensure accurate billing for changes or additions.

  • Support timely invoicing and vendor payments post-event.

  • Reduce risk exposure by adhering to company procedures and compliance measures.

Administrative & Process Development
  • Complete post-event documentation, time tracking, and reporting.

  • Participate in the development and refinement of SOPs and operational procedures.

  • Contribute to event evaluations and team debriefs for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 4+ years in technical production or broadcast/events industry.

  • 1+ year of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of AV technology and event production practices.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure environment.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client relationship skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of technical drawing software a plus.

  • Familiarity with budget management and cost control practices.
