Situated on a quiet side street near the elegant St Peters Square, The Carpenters Arms is an independent nineteenth-century pub with authentic and classic interiors.
It is a lively, community-focused gastro pub in the heart of Hammersmith, known for its welcoming atmosphere, great food, and quality drinks. Were looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our friendly team.
The Role
As Assistant Manager, youll work closely with the General Manager to support the daily operations of the pub, ensuring smooth service, happy guests, and a motivated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills whos looking to take the next step in their hospitality career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the pub.
- Lead and motivate front-of-house and bar teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- Assist with staff training, rotas, and performance management.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and health & safety compliance.
- Handle cashing up, stock control, and supplier orders.
- Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members.
What Were Looking For:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality (pub, restaurant)
- Be a hard-working team player.
- A genuine passion for food, drink, and hospitality
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Have a good time management
- A positive, hands-on attitude
