Executive Assistant to Chief Mortgage Officer

City & Capital is proud to partner with a dynamic and rapidly expanding real estate finance lender, currently seeking a proactive and confident Executive Assistant to work in support of their Chief Mortgage Officer.

You’ll work closely with the Chief Mortgage Officer and the broader mortgage team to drive forward key projects and initiatives that drive growth and operational excellence. This is a new role created within the team due to ongoing growth and a genuine opportunity to play a key role in its future success.

About the Role

As the Executive Assistant, you will play a key role in managing priorities, handling communications, and representing the Chief Mortgage Officer in meetings when required.

You’ll use your confidence and communication skills to seamlessly coordinate cross-functional activities in a lively and engaging office environment.

Key Responsibilities

This position combines administrative skills with critical thinking and communication;

Our client is looking for the right person to grow alongside the company, you will:

  • Provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Chief Mortgage Officer.
  • Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and ensure seamless scheduling of priorities.
  • Represent the Chief Mortgage Officer in meetings and discussions when required, effectively communicating key messages.
  • Handle internal and external communications, drafting emails, reports, and presentations with professionalism and clarity.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and data analysis using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Track and manage key projects, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and business information with discretion.
  • Act as a liaison between departments, ensuring smooth work-flow and collaboration.
  • Support the wider team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
  • Identify challenges, offer solutions, and escalate issues when necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a motivated and well-rounded individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will be proactive in approach and prefer to hit problems or opportunities head on.

Ideal experience includes:

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or a Personal Assistant.
  • A support role within a lender, bank, brokerage.
  • Exposure to the mortgage environment would be advantageous

Key Qualities and Skills

  • Highly intelligent and articulate, capable of representing the Chief Mortgage Officer effectively.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, demonstrating sound judgement and common sense.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create reports and presentations.
  • Experience in financial services (preferred) or a strong willingness to quickly learn industry concepts.
  • Proactive and adaptable, eager to take on various tasks and support the wider team.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in communications, reports, and administrative tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft professional documents.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, able to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to take initiative while knowing when to escalate issues.

On Offer

Our client is ideally looking to pay up to £65k as a basic salary for the ideal individual, relevant to experience. Higher offers may also be considered for exceptional talent. Salary will be complemented by access to the company's favourable bonus scheme too, to boost annual earnings.
