An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join a passionate and innovative team. This role offers the chance to support in key business decisions through insightful analysis and reporting. The successful candidate will be part of a nurturing environment that values collaboration and growth, with a focus on delivering high-quality clothing products. The role comes with a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £55,000 and is based in South West London.
Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, your role will be pivotal in supporting the finance team and wider business with weekly, monthly and annual reporting. You will be involved in budgeting and forecasting as well as providing commercial insight and analysis. Your work will enable management to make key business decisions. You will also have involvement in the preparation of group reporting, giving you exposure to our wider finance team.
- Conduct weekly trade analysis for all business channels focusing on Sales, Margin and Stock
- Create, improve and maintain financial and trade reports
- Perform variance analysis and investigation, ensuring consistent reporting across teams
- Partner with Merchandising to produce all stock reconciliations
- Act as the primary contact for all retail analysis requests
- Support Merchandising with Retail stock analysis focused on availability and sales opportunities
- Prepare and analyse monthly overhead reports for all head office departments
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal Commercial Finance Analyst will bring strong analytical skills coupled with financial modelling capabilities. You should be an advanced user of Excel and an excellent communicator who is comfortable interacting with both financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Experience in a retail environment would be beneficial, particularly if it involves multisite operations. Knowledge of accounting and stock systems would also be advantageous.
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA finalist
- Strong analytical skills and financial modelling capabilities
- Advanced user of Excel
- Excellent communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Experience in a retail environment (multisite experience is a plus)
- Knowledge of accounting and stock systems
