Our client is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their London team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the finance team and wider business with weekly, monthly, and annual reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will be instrumental in providing commercial insight and analysis that enables management to make key business decisions.
What you'll do:
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance team and wider business. Your responsibilities will include weekly trade analysis across all business channels, creating and maintaining financial reports, conducting detailed variance analyses, partnering with merchandising for stock reconciliations, and performing ad-hoc promotional sales analysis. Additionally, you will prepare monthly overhead reports for all head office departments. Your analytical skills will be crucial in enabling management to make key business decisions.
- Weekly trade analysis for all business channels around Sales, Margin and Stock
- Creation, improvement and maintenance of financial and trade reports
- Detailed variance analysis and investigation
- Partner with Merchandising to produce all weekly and monthly stock reconciliations
- Adhoc promotional sales analysis and re-forecasting
- Preparation and analysis of monthly overhead reports for all head office departments
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Commercial Finance Analyst role is a part-qualified Chartered Accountant with a proven track record of partnering with stakeholders across the business. You should have retail experience, preferably with multi-site operations. Your ability to deliver under pressure and meet tight deadlines will be essential in this role. Strong analytical skills are required along with advanced knowledge of Excel. Your attention to detail will be critical in ensuring accurate reporting.
- Part Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Track record of partnering and influencing stakeholders across the business
- Retail experience and experience of multisite operations is preferable
- Ability to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Excel knowledge
