Interim Commercial Finance Analyst - £50-60k
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term
Financial Management & Reporting
- Take ownership of daily and weekly reports, including input and monthly/quarterly reforecasts for all territories. Identify risks, opportunities, and propose mitigating actions.
- Lead the creation and distribution of monthly and quarterly full-year forecasts, covering revenues, as well as overheads. Ensure clear communication of forecasts to stakeholders to facilitate alignment and informed decision-making.
- Deliver insightful and comprehensive monthly commentary, synthesising current trading results, key performance indicators (KPIs), market benchmarking, and updated forecasts based on commercial booking trends, market outlook, and projected costs.
- Develop the annual budget using current performance, market projections, and business initiatives to create a robust and credible financial plan. Present the budget to stakeholders for review, input, and approval.
- Prepare a review pack summarising trading performance, reforecast updates, and progress against key strategic initiatives.
- Manage and improve the commission structure framework by setting evidence-based targets informed by historical performance. Ensure timely completion ahead of each quarter, and engage with all stakeholders and approvers for feedback and finalisation.
Decision Support
- Provide analytical and strategic support for operational business decisions.
- Build financial models to assess outcomes of various scenarios and guide business choices.
- Deliver fast, impartial evaluations of major projects and investment proposals.
- Respond promptly to queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Participate in key meetings where detailed financial insight is essential, such as investment reviews or business case evaluations.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration by partnering with the audio finance team to share learnings and best practices.
