Rev & Regs are seeking an Operations Analyst to work for an innovative asset management in the City of London. You will be part of a small team responsible for building a robust operations function to deliver and oversee internal and external processes, launch new funds and other projects, constantly improving the efficiency of our processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Drive process automation and enhance a suite of procedures documenting internal operational processes and controls, in collaboration with the investment team and Head of Operations.
- Manage regulatory reporting processes, including providing information to support delegated EMIR reporting activity, completing the daily process for MIFIR transaction reporting, completing monthly reports to the Investment Association and monitoring and resolving any discrepancies or issues in trade processes.
- Develop and maintain a standard due diligence pack and respond to client and counterparty due diligence requests and know your customer (KYC) queries.
- Support the Head of Operations in building out and overseeing the operation of the firm’s middle office function including valuations, NAV reconciliation, investment compliance and trading controls, transaction monitoring and reporting.
- Analyse the performance of third-party fund service providers ensuring they are adhering to agreed service levels, dealing with queries arising from the service providers and assist in managing the relationships with them.
- Build and manage an annual due diligence framework for the firm to monitor trading counterparties, including ESG credentials, in collaboration with the Head of Operations.
- Maintain compliance of all operations with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations.
- Support the Head of Operations in ensuring that funds’ operational policies, procedures and protocols are in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
- Support new product launches and other projects as they arise.
Experience:
- Understanding of asset management in the UK, Europe and offshore.
- Knowledge of UCITS funds, fund operations and risk management.
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of derivatives and liquid alternative strategies is desirable but not required.
- Ability to identify and correct errors to ensure impeccable accuracy.
- Proficiency working with large amounts of diverse data, including in Excel.
- Proactive and enthusiastic.
- Ability to multi-task in a time pressured environment.
- Ability to partner with various stakeholders at all levels (internal teams, peers, and external third parties).
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus bonus
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in City of London office)
