Accounts Manager Wimbledon, South London £55,000 to £65,000Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-known, established, and progressive firm of chartered accountants based in the heart of Wimbledon that are eager to appoint a highly skilled, well qualified, and experienced Accounts/Client Manager to complement the management team, reporting directly to the firm's partners. Role Requirements -The role would suit someone with a proven track record in managing a diverse client base both doing and reviewing year end statutory accounts, tax, and potentially audit, and wishing to make a change, and move to a firm where they will be developed and have a clear progression path.

  • Manage a client portfolio of Ltd Companies, sole traders and partnerships spanning a wide range of industries, and produce and review work on their behalf.
  • Play a key role in the management team, including strategic decisions, staff planning, and client service.
  • Play an active role in winning new clients, through networking, business development and initial meetings with potential new clients.
  • Monitor budgets and agree fees for each engagement.
  • Motivating, developing and coaching the audit team and conducting evaluations of staff performance
  • Assist in the production of the proposals and presentations for new work.
  • Develop network of contacts and cross-sell services

Person Requirements -

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 3+ years post qualification experience in a supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager level role working for a UK based practice.
  • Proven staff and client management experience
  • Computer literate with knowledge of accounts packages, such as IRIS, SAGE, EXCEL, and Outlook for client interaction.
  • Technical and industry sector expertise, with experience of taking responsibility for performance appraisal and development.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, including timely response to all queries, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
  • Ability to mentor, motivate and support the audit and accounts team, with clear instructions, deadlines, and help when needed.
