Assistant Finance Manager

This statutory and independent public body is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join their finance team in London.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead on financial reporting and analysis, delivering high-quality, timely financial processes, reports, and advice to senior and middle management, the Board, and our sponsoring department.
  • Act as a finance business partner, supporting the wider organisation by resolving queries, enhancing financial awareness, and driving improvements in financial processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions within SAP, in full compliance with internal policies and HM Treasury guidance (FreM, CBG).
  • Manage and develop junior finance staff, including Finance Assistants and Administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Support the Finance Manager, contributing to the overall effectiveness and resilience of the finance function.
