The Tax Function

Our global tax function spans Corporate Tax, Operational (Client-Focused) Tax, Employment Tax, and Indirect Tax. This role is within the global Tax team- this is area that interacts closely with client-facing functions and many non-finance teams. As such, it requires both strong collaboration skills and the ability to understand and influence processes beyond traditional tax boundaries.

The Role

As Tax continues to grow in complexity with business expansion and evolving tax regulations, this role is critical in managing international operational tax compliance. You'll play a key part in ensuring timely and accurate tax filings and payments across the business. While previous operational tax experience is beneficial it is not essiential, this role also offers the opportunity to build new skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will not only help refine existing tax processes but will also design scalable solutions that keep pace with our expanding product suite and global footprint.

You'll be part of a London-based tax team reporting to the Senior Operational Taxes & Transfer Pricing Manager, within a wider team of experienced tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support global US withholding tax compliance.
  • Prepare monthly and annual tax returns for European Transaction Taxes, Capital Gains Tax, and Wealth Tax.
  • Submit UK ISA and Other Interest returns to HMRC.
  • Assist in compliance with German withholding tax rules, including issuance of client tax statements.
  • Maintain accurate customer documentation across all jurisdictions and ensure processes remain fit for purpose.
  • Support ad-hoc projects including product launches and international expansion from a tax perspective-working with advisers and business units to scope operational tax requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and Front Office teams to build systems and logic for calculating transaction-based taxes such as FTT and CGT.
  • Deliver FATCA and CRS (AEOI) reporting by extracting, cleansing, and preparing client data, and working closely with local stakeholders.
  • Drive governance by engaging cross-functional teams to ensure roles and responsibilities around operational taxes are clearly understood.

You

  • ACA/CTA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Ideally with 2-3 years of operational tax experience; knowledge of FATCA, CRS, or QI regimes is helpful but not essential.
  • A curious mindset with strong analytical skills and a willingness to challenge and investigate data.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
