Location: London (UK-based) | Contract: Permanent | Hybrid: Flexible Working Offered
The Role
This is not just another Audit Manager position. The appointed professional will lead complex audit and accounting projects, take ownership of client relationships, and mentor junior team members with confidence and care.
There’s no need for a laundry list of expected duties — audits from planning to completion, team management, client liaison, and deliverables review are all second nature to someone at this level. What sets this role apart is the freedom to manage a portfolio independently, alongside the support of hands-on partners who are genuinely engaged and accessible.
Clients & Impact
This is about variety, not volume. The Audit Manager will work with a diverse client base across various sectors, primarily owner-managed businesses with turnovers ranging from £1m to £100m. The work will be dynamic, stimulating, and far from cookie-cutter.
The role goes beyond compliance. The Audit Manager will be advising clients, not just reporting figures, and will have opportunities to contribute to practice development — whether through internal process improvement, participation in events, or supporting business development efforts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with robust experience in audit and strong knowledge of FRS102
- Proven ability to manage audits from inception to completion and establish lasting client relationships
- A natural leader who takes satisfaction in developing others and providing constructive feedback
- Comfortable with core IT tools (Outlook, Excel, accounting software) — experience with Digita or Caseware is a plus
- Commercially aware, curious, and committed to continuous professional development
Tech Toolkit
This firm embraces technology and efficient workflows. The Audit Manager will work with a mix of cloud-based systems, including Caseware and Digita. While advanced tech expertise isn’t required, an open mind and willingness to engage with new tools is essential.
Benefits & Perks
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Flexible hybrid working arrangements
- Enhanced parental leave
- Structured learning and development opportunities
- Direct exposure to partners and leadership
- Inclusive, collaborative team culture
- Regular socials, early finishes, and a no-blame environment
