Cedar is currently partnered with a high-growth infrastructure platform backed by a large-cap private equity investor to secure an Interim Chief Financial Officer. This role will lead the finance function through a critical period of integration, transformation, and value creation following a major acquisition.
Offered as a 6-12 month assignment, paying a day rate of 1,750-2,250. Based in Central London.
The Company
This newly acquired infrastructure business represents a cornerstone investment for a leading private equity fund. With significant capital deployed and a clear strategic roadmap, the business is entering a transformative phase. The CFO will play a central role in stabilising core finance operations, embedding scalable governance, and executing post-deal integration initiatives, all within a fast-paced and investor-led environment.
The Role
As Interim CFO, you will assume leadership of the finance function, operating as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board. This is a hands-on, visible position overseeing both day-to-day control and long-term value planning. Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of group finance: reporting, controls, audit, tax, treasury and compliance
- Leadership of post-acquisition integration: finance team structure, reporting consolidation, process optimisation
- Delivery of synergy initiatives and interim governance frameworks
- Introduction of robust FP&A and commercial finance capabilities to support decision-making
- Responsibility for board reporting, investor presentations, and audit committee engagement
- Oversight of capital structure, refinancing activity, and support for future bolt-on acquisitions
- Preparation for potential refinancing, exit, or strategic capital events
- Coaching and development of internal finance leadership to drive accountability and performance
Your Profile
You'll be a proven interim finance leader with:
- A strong track record as CFO or Finance Director in a private equity-backed business
- Prior experience in asset-intensive sectors such as infrastructure, engineering, logistics or industrials
- Demonstrable success in finance transformation, post-deal integration, and systems/process optimisation
- Full-spectrum CFO capability, including control, compliance, FP&A and investor-facing communication
- Boardroom gravitas, and the ability to influence across C-suite and investor stakeholders
Compensation & Benefits
