About UsCurrently partnering with a CEO to search for their first Senior Finance hire. They are a fast-growing, private equity-backed financial services consultancy and, looking ahead, require an experienced CFO to join them on the next phase of transformational growth, including a liquidity event. With an ambitious leadership team, a blue-chip client base, and a market-leading reputation, they are seeking a commercially astute, strategically minded CFO to join the journey and help deliver significant value creation.

The OpportunityAs CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the financial strategy. Reporting to and partnering closely with the CEO, you will drive performance across all functions while helping to set the strategic direction of the business, in collaboration with investors, additionally, transforming a finance function into a best-in-class department including implementing stringent processes, controls, and automating, as well as reviewing and optimising all systems. Crucially, you will also play a lead role in preparing the business for a successful exit or further capital event in the near to mid-term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the finance function, building best-in-class processes, systems and reporting
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, driving commercial insight and decision-making including revamping Board Packs and providing actionable insights
  • Own forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and KPI tracking
  • Partner with the PE firm on value creation planning, debt management, and board reporting
  • Manage risk, compliance, cash flow, audit, tax and investor relations
  • Play a lead role in any future capital event, exit or M&A activity, including due diligence preparation and execution.

About You

  • ACA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience in financial services - ideally in a consultancy, advisory, or high-growth environment
  • Proven success as a CFO or Finance Director in a private equity-backed (or equivalent) business
  • Track record of delivering a successful exit or capital event (trade sale, secondary, IPO, or recapitalisation)
  • Highly commercial, hands-on and detail-oriented, with strong operational finance experience
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, high-growth, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Excellent communicator and leader with strong stakeholder management skills
