Job Details:

As the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), your goal will be to support the Board of Directors and the senior management of the Bank in protecting the Bank’s long-term value and prudent risk-taking, by continuously improving of the risk management framework, promoting strong risk culture across the organisation and ensuring proper performance of the 2nd line of defence. You will spearhead the effective governance and stewardship of the Bank’s risk programs, which will entail providing strategic risk direction, aligning priorities to ensure accountability and control.

You will also become the member of the Executive Committee, while reporting directly to the Board of Directors and the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic risk direction and leadership for the 2nd line of defence.
  • Design and continuously improve a risk management framework.
  • Formulate the risk appetite of the Bank and ensure alignment of risk priorities.
  • Promote risk culture and increase risk awareness across the organisation.
  • Provide executive oversight, independent challenge and monitor risk-taking.
  • Collaborate with the first line of defence to drive an appropriate balance between risk and reward.
  • Lead effective governance of the Bank's risk programs.
  • Chair the Management Risk Committee of the Bank.
  • Support Bank’s digitalisation strategy and modern toolset for the 2nd line of defence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years senior banking experience.
  • Relevant professional qualifications preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in achieving results.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with independence of thought and adaptability for a dynamic environment.
  • Managerial experience in the second line of defence
