Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Corporate Tax Director and Corporate Tax Manager as required and instructed.
  • Managing workflow and helping the team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Preparing Company Tax Returns for clients including supporting schedules and computations.
  • Preparing Capital Allowances reports/analysis and supporting with the provision of Corporate Interest Restrictions analysis and reports.
  • Preparing and submitting non-resident Capital Gains reports and registering a non-resident company for Corporation Tax.
  • Preparing effective controls and audit trails to assist with peer and managerial reviews.
  • Working with the audit team to ensure that the correct working papers are in place to support the tax provisions which will be included within the financial statements and where necessary drafting tax disclosure notes.
  • Responding to both clients and colleagues with regards to any ad-hoc tax related queries that they have on a daily basis.
  • Assisting with the preparation of R&D claims, which includes the analysis of varied data sources to prepare R&D Financial Reports (using advanced Microsoft Excel data processing skills as appropriate).
  • Undertaking ad hoc research tasks to support the wider team in the delivery of tax advice reports and memos. This will largely include researching technical tax issues and explaining findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Liaising with HMRC and our internal Tax Disputes Resolution team, to assist with various matters as required.
  • Providing support and training as required to trainees across the firm.
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical and marketing material for both internal and external audiences.
