Our client is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Manager to join their team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to safeguard the financial interests of a leading banking institution, using your expertise and diligence to maintain tax compliance, mitigate tax risks, and ensure tax is appropriately reflected in the Group's financial planning and external financial reporting.

What you'll do:

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the financial interests of the bank. Your responsibilities will include maintaining tax compliance, mitigating tax risks, and ensuring that taxes are appropriately reflected in the Group's financial planning and external reporting. You will prepare or review relevant tax returns, provide technical insight on various tax areas, analyse developments in tax law, and design and operate process controls. Your ability to lead a team performing complex tasks will be key to your success.

  • Maintain tax compliance and mitigate tax risks
  • Ensure tax is appropriately reflected in the Group's financial planning and external financial reporting
  • Prepare or review relevant tax returns in accordance with applicable tax law
  • Provide technical insight, analysis and conclusions on various tax technical areas
  • Analyse developments in tax law to manage its impact on the organisation
  • Design and operate tax process controls to manage tax risk and support tax treatments

What you bring:

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in UK tax legislation and reporting processes. Your ability to advise and influence decision-making sets you apart. You have proven experience in policy development and operational effectiveness. Your leadership skills enable you to set objectives for your team, coach them towards achieving these objectives, appraise their performance relative to these objectives, and determine reward outcomes. Your strong analytical skills allow you to engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources. You are adept at communicating complex information effectively.

  • Qualified accountant with practical experience or good awareness of UK tax legislation and tax reporting processes
