Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager, Financial Services Team

Salary: Up to £80,000!

Join a Growing Financial Services Tax Team:

I am looking for a Corporate TaxManager - to join my client's dynamic and expanding Business Tax team, specialising in Corporation Tax services for clients within the Financial Services sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of clients - from hedge fund managers and private equity firms to fintech innovators - and play a key role in a fast-growing area of the business.

You will be a key member of a growing team providing corporation tax compliance and advisory services to Financial Services clients. Your role will include:

  • Supporting engagement partners and directors on complex tax advisory projects
  • Assisting the business tax team with technical tax queries
  • Managing the compliance and advisory needs of a portfolio of large clients
  • Working collaboratively with your team to deliver high-quality services

You will need to be client-facing, demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team, and have the capability to manage junior staff. Strong technical skills are essential to effectively advise clients. You may bring specific tax expertise in a particular Financial Services subsector or advisory area.

Their Financial Services clients include hedge fund managers, private equity firms, currency solutions providers, wealth managers, financial advisors, corporate financiers, and fintech companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporation tax compliance for a portfolio of corporate clients, including standalone entities and groups
  • Provide advisory support on:

- Corporate structures and restructuring

- Group tax planning and international tax issues

- Tax due diligence and reporting

- Venture capital tax reliefs

- Corporate and property acquisitions and disposals

- Corporate structures and restructuring

  • Identify and implement tax-efficient planning opportunities
  • Manage billing, budgeting, and work-in-progress
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, supporting their training and professional development
  • Participate in business development initiatives and represent the firm at networking events

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • AlphaTax knowledge (preferred)
