Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracking costs on this major programme
  • Validating costs submitted by contractors against actual spend
  • Ensuring accurate cost management and control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Preparing detailed financial reports and cost forecasts
  • Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial matters
  • Identifying and managing cost-related risks and opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date cost documentation and records
  • Providing financial insights and recommendations to support project decision-making


Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in cost management within the infrastructure sector (Energy, Highways, Nuclear, Water, Rail)
  • Ideally, experience with rail infrastructure projects
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and principles
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in cost management or related field
