- Lead and manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll queries and liaise with external payroll providers.
- Identify and implement improvements to payroll systems and internal controls.
- Produce first-draft monthly management accounts with full balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
- Maintain and update forward-looking cash flow forecasts.
- Support the preparation of year-end management and statutory accounts.
- Work closely with the Head of Finance to provide timely and accurate financial reporting to Budget Holders.
- Manage, support, and develop the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant through supervision and appraisal.
- Contribute to delivering a 5-star service across the organisation.
- CCAB Qualified Accountant with extensive experience
- Strong financial background with experience of leading a team
- Experience of management accounts and balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Experience of contributing to year-end and statutory accounts
- Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
