Marks Sattin Executive Search is partnering with a Privately Owned Professional Services business that is looking for a Finance and IT Director who will oversee the organisation's financial strategy, planning, and reporting. This leadership role presents an exciting chance for a strategic leader to make a significant impact in a growth-focused organisation by developing the business's financial strategy and integrating technology to enhance performance.

The appointed candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, directing budgeting, and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Strong relationships with auditors, financial institutions, and advisors will be essential as effective financial policies are implemented. Moreover, you will provide critical financial insights to the Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Team, contributing to key business decisions and aligning the finance function with the overall strategic vision of the organisation.

The business is looking for a proactive individual with a proven track record in driving revenue growth and managing change initiatives. You will lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Collaboration with the senior leadership team will be vital for optimising operational processes through technology integration, ensuring that modern financial systems and processes support the organisation's growth and digital transformation objectives.

Uniquely, the client would consider candidates operating at Divisional Finance Director or Financial Controller level in a larger organisation now looking to step up to their first number one role who brings the right blend of commercial insight, operational rigour, and leadership capability. The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA (preferably Chartered))
  • Experience as a Divisional Finance Director or Group Financial Controller, looking to step into an autonomous Financial No.1 position
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, particularly at the senior leadership level
  • Proven expertise in financial transformation and operational efficiency
  • Commercially astute with experience in financial planning and budgeting
  • Familiarity with financial automation and data analytics is advantageous
  • Comfortable working with operational teams to align financial planning with growth objectives
