Your new roleThis role sits within a Finance team of 6, offering a broad and varied role. You will have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills.Responsibilities include:
- Business partnering with numerous budget holders - reviewing expenditure against forecast on a monthly basis.
- Work with budget holders to identify issues, offering advice, support and solutions.
- Extract data for reporting, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Support in the production of the annual report and accounts.
- Monitor, review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Take responsibility for transactions posted to the ledgers, including; PO processing, goods receipt notes, supplier invoices, claims, journal postings, accruals and pre-payments.
- Line management responsibility of one part-qualified accountant.
What you'll need to succeed
- CCAB (or equivalent) accountancy qualification - fully qualified or finalist
- Professional experience working as a Finance Business Partner, offering value-add reporting (including forecasting and budget setting
- Stakeholder management skills
- Experience of financial accounting processes
- Ability to analyse data using Excel
- Experience using SAP (desirable)
- Experience working with the government reporting standard FReM (desirable)
- Line management experience (desirable)
