A diverse and varied Finance Manager opportunity has arisen on a permanent basis to support the Children's Services Directorate - specifically, you will work across the children's social care function.
As a Finance Manager, you will be expected to be a professional lead within your area of finance, providing expertise and high-quality financial services to senior stakeholders, proactively contributing to the achievement of the finance service’s vision, and contributing towards an innovative, high-performance, and continuous improvement culture.Your key accountability will cover Finance Business Partnering with key stakeholders across all levels up to the Children's Social Care Director, monitoring forecast against budget in collaboration with the service. You will be expected to model various scenarios to provide affordable service to best meet the required needs. Your role will include MTFS and financial planning to manage funding/cost pressures related to the complexity of the directorate.
To be successful in this role, you will be fully CCAB qualified with substantial business partnering experience within a relevant social care organisation or education. It is vital that you can demonstrate a passion and interest in the sector with transferable, relevant knowledge and skills.
You will naturally be a proactive personality who can take initiative and enjoys problem-solving.
