Are you ready to take the financial reins of a growing organisation? Do you thrive in a role where strategic thinking meets hands-on delivery? Looking to make a real impact in a hybrid, purpose-led environment? If yes, this is the role for you!
We’re recruiting for a talented Finance Manager to play a key role in a rapidly expanding not-for-profit organisation based in central London. This is a dynamic, hybrid role offering variety, autonomy, and the chance to be part of an ambitious and supportive team.
The key duties of this Finance Manager are as follows:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, VAT, statutory accounts, and audit, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organisation and its subsidiaries.
- Supervise and support a small finance team, overseeing daily workflows, encouraging development, and maintaining a high standard of performance.
- Produce clear, insightful financial reports to support strategic decision-making, while continuously improving systems and processes for better control and transparency.
- Handle banking and cash flow activities, ensuring timely reconciliations, payments, and maintaining strong relationships with external financial partners.
- Work closely with stakeholders across departments and entities to provide financial guidance, strengthen governance, and support sustainable growth.
This is more than just a Finance Manager role. It’s a chance to join a respected, mission-driven organisation at a pivotal moment of growth. You’ll have the freedom to shape financial processes, contribute to strategic decisions, and grow your leadership skills. With a central London location, flexible hybrid working, and a collaborative culture, this is a role that offers both challenge and reward. You’ll be working with a forward-thinking team where innovation is encouraged, professional development is supported, and your work truly makes a difference.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong experience in financial operations and reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and Excel (e.g. VBA, Pivots, Lookups, Power BI).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple entities or subsidiaries (preferably international).
- Understanding of partial VAT exemptions and intercompany processes.
- Ideally, a background working in the not-for-profit sector but this is by no means essential.
