Oliver James are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join one of our insurance clients in London on a permanent basis.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Experience working in an insurance business (Preferably a Syndicate)
  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA)
  • Experience in leading and designing an operating model

To give you an idea of what you would be involved in , there are some duties listed below:

  • Stakeholder management with customers and suppliers related to the syndicate financial reporting process. This network of relationships will require close management
  • Supporting the Finance Operations Team in resolving legacy issues, proactively liaising with stakeholders to identify, investigate and resolve data integrity and reporting issues and reduce reconciliation backlogs.
  • Production of financial information ensuring that data produced remains relevant is subject to proper analysis, explanation and control and always reflects the activities of the organisation
  • Responsible for Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Group Reporting
  • Preparation of the underlying books and records, including posting transactions, reviewing and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, managing intercompany processes and cash transaction processes
  • Performing key controls in line with the companies control standards and JSox requirements
