Our Client is a leading Trade Association in the CIty of London providing their members with a collective voice and knowledge sharing. They are currently looking for a Temporary Finance Manager to cover long term absence.

WORKING WITH:

Finance & Administrative Team, Commercial Team

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for leading on the month end close, managing the purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations. Planning, coordinating and overseeing work for one team member. The role will be full time and office based. Hours 9 to 5.

In addition to the finance function responsibilities, the role will be expected to assist the admin team with tasks such as preparing meeting rooms, welcoming guests and other front of house tasks. The candidate will need to be comfortable with these non-finance responsibilities.

JOB CONTENT:

  1. Complete month end balance sheet reconciliations
  2. Running the purchase ledger including distribution of invoices for approval, coding and posting to finance system
  3. Preparing two monthly supplier payment runs
  4. Running the sales ledger including issuing all royalty sales, desk rental, and conference invoices
  5. Perform credit control to ensure that all funds from customers are collected in line with contractual terms
  6. Perform daily bank reconciliations across all bank accounts
  7. Reordering of publications as appropriate
  8. Generate the weekly Sales Revenue Tracker
  9. Manage purchase order system
  10. Oversee the Shop/Academy & Reservations. Ensure that all customer queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently
  11. Review all royalty calculations for accuracy and completeness
  12. Assisting with room setup for all internal/ external bookings and help with lunch/refreshments requirements

SKILLS:

  1. Qualified, part-qualified, AAT or qualified by experience accountant
  2. Must have experience of using Xero financial software
  3. Office based role
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Good knowledge of double entry bookkeeping
  6. Intermediate Excel
  7. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  8. Team-player
  9. Methodical and logical, with strong attention to detail
  10. Self-motivated, demonstrating drive, enthusiasm and determination
  11. Discretion, diplomacy and tact in dealing with sensitive financial information
  12. Problem solver and get the job done attitude
