A niche Film and Production business is seeking a Qualified Finance Manager to assist with improving the financial management of the business on a temporary, part-time basis. This role is crucial for enhancing financial controls and ensuring the business's financial health following recent restructuring and securing additional funding.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Analyze the current financial position to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop accurate financial forecasts to aid in strategic planning and recovery.
  • Implement effective communication protocols for payments to enhance transparency and efficiency.
  • Advise on strengthening financial controls to prevent future discrepancies.
  • Recommend best practices in financial management tailored to our industry needs.
  • Provide strategic guidance to optimize financial performance.
  • Manage the finances of one production cycle, ensuring budget adherence and financial viability.
  • Engage directly with clients to facilitate timely payments and resolve any issues.
  • Set up sustainable and efficient financial systems that support long-term goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Proven expertise in financial forecasting and recovery.
  • Experience in setting up efficient payment systems.
  • Strong communication skills, especially related to financial information.
  • Experience in TV & Production is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial software, preferably Xero.
  • Strong skills in debt recovery and negotiation.
  • Resilient, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach.
