This role is pivotal within the central team, overseeing a fully centralised finance function and providing strategic financial guidance to ensure our continued success and compliance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Central Financial Oversight: Manage financial operations across the Trust's schools from a centralised perspective, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Strategic Financial Guidance: Provide crucial financial advice to support decision-making and long-term planning.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all financial activities adhere to relevant regulations and standards, maintaining financial integrity.
- Resource Management: Manage financial resources efficiently to support the Trust's educational mission.
- Team Leadership: Lead the central finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate consolidated financial reports.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to standardise practices across the Trust.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and financial stakeholders.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Experience: Proven experience in financial management within the education or charity sector.
- Education: Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAS, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Skills: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial reporting skills. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial management software.
- Abilities: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage complex budgets and meet deadlines.
