Our client is an US organisation that is setting up a new Finance function in London overseeing the entities located in the US. This is a stand alone role reporting directely into the CEO. They are seeking a Finance Manager / Controller with a strong background in U.S. accounting to oversee financial operations. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day accounting as well as providing strategic financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting functions, including bookkeeping, invoice processing, AP, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Maintain financial records
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure proper internal controls and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support the executive team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of Offering Memorandums for investors and lenders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with significant exposure to U.S. GAAP and U.S. based financial reporting, ideally within real estate or a related sector.
  • Experiences with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Desktop).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and related compliance matters.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
