Interim Financial Reporting Manager

Reporting to the CFO and Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing financial and statutory information and ensuring that best practices are used across the business. Supporting the growth of the company, this position will foster continuous improvement, automation, and will ensure that relevant controls are in place across the organisation in a time of change and automation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the management accountant and Head of Finance to prepare the year-end management accounts.
  • Preparing comprehensive and accurate deferred revenue balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Utilising the existing Excel model to create statutory accounts, including all notes and disclosures in compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Ensuring all audit deliverables are completed and accessible to the audit team.
  • Managing the year-end audit process and serving as the primary point of contact for audit and tax matters.
  • Supporting the CFO in various matters by preparing information and papers as needed.
  • Reconciling and remapping balance sheet accounts, where applicable, to migrate the opening balance sheet subledger and general ledger to the new system.
  • Collaborating with the finance team on general matters related to implementation, including reconciliations and other areas as needed.

The candidate:

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experienced managing statutory accounts and audit in a reporting role.
  • Able to deliver with exceptional levels of accuracy, placing a high regard on achieving excellence.
  • A natural ability to build strong relationships, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively with different stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with Sage 50 or Sage Intact desirable.
  • Proactive individual with an inquisitive mind-set where you continuously seek process improvement.
