To help support the growth of this team, we are delighted to be working with Barnet Council in their search for five Finance Managers across a variety of areas.
A diverse and varied Finance Manager opportunity has arisen on a fixed-term contract basis to support the Growth Directorate. The role will work across a number of the major project functions covering Planning, HRA, Estates, Capital Delivery, as well as Place and Economy.
As a Finance Manager, you will be expected to be a professional lead within your area of finance, providing expertise and high-quality financial services to senior stakeholders, proactively contributing to the achievement of the finance service’s vision, and contributing towards an innovative, high-performance, and continuous improvement culture.
Your key accountability will cover both Finance Business Partnering with key stakeholders and budget holders, as well as financial modelling. Using existing templates to investigate and examine business cases. This can be a fast-paced and dynamic function with the need for quick turnarounds.
To be successful in this role, you will be fully CCAB qualified (or will be within 6-12 months) with substantial business partnering experience within a public sector or not-for-profit organisation as well as strong excel and financial modelling experience.
You will have the ability to demonstrate a range of soft skills, including relationship building, negotiation, influencing, and facilitation. You will have strong analytical skills, both financial and non-financial.
