Head of Finance – TV & Content Production (12-Month FTC – Mat Cover)Location: London (Hybrid)Contract: Fixed Term (12 months)Start Date: July 25 (some flex)An award-winning, high-growth media business is looking for a commercially-minded Head of Finance to lead the finance function across its thriving television and content production division. This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role within a creative, fast-paced environment that delivers critically acclaimed content for major UK and global platforms.Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the CFO, you'll be the key finance business partner across the TV division – guiding financial strategy, ensuring commercial rigour, and enabling creative teams to deliver profitably and at scale.What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Own the divisional P&L, management accounts, and cashflow forecasting
  • Lead month-end close and deliver accurate reporting and insightful variance analysis
  • Act as a strategic business partner on pitches, greenlights, and commercial negotiations
  • Provide clear visibility on margins, cost drivers, and profitability across productions
  • Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecasts with key stakeholders
  • Oversee billing, collections, and working capital management
  • Support senior leadership with financial modelling for growth, hiring, and new ventures
  • Lead and develop a team of management and production accountants
  • Drive process improvement across finance systems and workflows
  • Assist with M&A integration, reporting changes, and due diligence where required
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 10+ years PQE
  • A strong background in TV or media production finance is essential
  • Confident business partner with experience working closely with MDs and creatives
  • Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis
  • Comfortable leading teams and collaborating across departments
  • Hands-on, solutions-focused, and able to operate at pace
  • Strong systems knowledge 
  • Advanced Excel skills and sharp attention to detail
