Head of Finance

Harper May is partnering with an innovative technology company that is seeking a commercially focused Head of Finance to lead its finance function during a critical phase of growth. With a fast-scaling business model and a focus on digital products and platforms, the company requires a finance leader who can provide strategic insight, operational control, and support for long-term value creation.

Role Overview:As Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial operations, support decision-making with timely reporting and analysis, and play a central role in driving financial performance. This is a hands-on leadership position, offering the opportunity to shape the finance function in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day financial operations including management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Deliver high-quality, actionable financial insight to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making

• Implement and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks

• Manage statutory compliance, audit processes, and tax obligations

• Partner with product, sales, and operational teams to align financial strategy with business goals

• Oversee the development of financial models for new product launches, pricing, and market expansion

• Contribute to board reporting and investor updates as required

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and growth

Key Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with strong post-qualified experience

• Prior experience in a senior finance role within a technology, SaaS, or digital business

• Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to influence strategic decisions

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with hands-on experience of improving systems and controls

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scale-up or growth environment

• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across the business
