Halliday Marx have partnered with a global media business to hire an Interim Head of Finance to cover maternity for 12 months.

Responsibilities
- Leading a team of 4
- Ensuring group accounting policies comply with IFRS
- Communicate changes to accounting policies and practice to relevant stakeholders
- Review complex contracts and ensure accounting treatment is compliant with group policy and IFRS and ensure your team is providing sufficient technical advice to the wider business on such areas
- Review technical summary papers
- Business partnering with other departments (Tax, Treasury, Legal, Corporate Finance)
- Being a key point of contact for the Audit
- Review the group's financial statements and provide technical accounting input where required.
- Additional ad hoc work, projects and analysis
- Oversee the group-wide hedging and foreign exchange
- Provide tax reporting for the group and liaise directly with tax team
- Oversee the review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee and advise on statutory account filing and compliance globally
Requirements
- Immediately available
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- Audit background
- Lots of controllership experience
- Very comfortable and experienced with managing a team
