We are delighted to represent a prestigious and growing international banking organisation based in London, currently seeking a dynamic Head of Operations to play a key role in maintaining BAU procedure across account opening, payment operations, securities, facilities, operational resilience but also driving the business forward into new exciting markets as part of the wider growth ambitions.
This role would ideally suit an experienced Banking Operations Manager with a strong background in operational efficiency and experience using modern operating models, looking for their next step up into a certified "head of" role.Â
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of direct reports to ensure cohesive strategy execution and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the Operations teams.
- Proactively manage the Operational Resilience Policy and Self-Assessment to ensure robust processes are in place for major operational disruptions.
- Design and oversee the implementation of the Payments Strategy, maintaining compliance with all relevant scheme rules.
- Oversee third-party vendor relationships in accordance with regulatory guidelines and liaise with departmental heads for effective management of these relationships.
- Ensure the security and maintenance of premises and manage all health, safety, and fire safety matters in compliance with the Bank’s policies.
- Extensive experience in Banking Operations, including treasury mid & back office, payments, and loan administration.
- Demonstrated experience with modern digital banking services and hybrid customer service models.
- Proficiency in Cards Operations, compliance obligations, and all types of payment operations including Swift.
- Familiarity with current market evolution in digital banking and trends from the Fintech industry.
- Proven track record in delivering modern operating models using STP, automated workflows, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong project management skills related to operational transformation and process restructuring.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills, capable of leading organisational change.
- High level of resilience and adaptability, with the capacity to thrive under pressure and drive change.
- Experience in the UK Payments Market, AML/KYC requirements, vendor and outsourcing management, and implementing Operational Resilience.
- Experience in a digital/neo bank is preferred.
