Robertson Bell are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded charity based in North London to recruit an Interim Finance Director. This role is offered on an initial six-month contract and presents the opportunity to lead meaningful improvements across the finance function during a period of transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across the finance team, supporting staff through organisational change.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and the external audit process, ensuring recommendations are fully actioned.
  • Act as the senior finance lead for both the charity and its trading subsidiary.
  • Lead on financial forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow planning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Have significant experience operating as a Finance Director in the charity sector.
  • Bring a strong understanding of group structures and trading subsidiaries within charitable organisations.
  • Be a collaborative, visible leader with the confidence to engage effectively at Board level and across non-finance stakeholders.

Due to the nature of the role, the organisation is seeking someone who can attend the office four to five days per week. Interviews will take place shortly, and early applications are strongly encouraged.
