This small London-based Housing provider is approaching a critical point in the financial year and has brought in an Interim Finance Director to oversee strategy. To provide the structure and momentum needed, they’re now seeking an Interim Head of Finance on a three-month contract to lead the team through year end and audit.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Taking a lead role in the preparation and delivery of year end and audit processes
  • Line managing the finance team to ensure their contributions to the statutory accounts are delivered accurately and on time
  • Ensuring statutory accounts are prepared to a high, auditable standard
  • Working with limited or immature financial systems and supporting process improvements where possible
  • Acting as a steadying presence during a time-sensitive and pressured period for the organisation

This is a hands-on, practical role suited to someone who can switch between leading the team and getting into the detail themselves. This is a 3-month interim contract, inside IR35 with a short or immediate start preferred. A part time, four day working work can be arranged for the right candidate.

To be considered, please meet the following criteria:

  • Fully qualified accountant with extensive Social Housing finance experience
  • Strong track record of year end delivery and audit preparation
  • Experience working in organisations with immature or limited financial systems
  • Comfortable leading and motivating teams through pressured delivery periods
  • Able to commit to a minimum of one day a week in the London office
