Fram Search are working on an exciting opportunity for a Platform Manager to join an established chartered Wealth manager with offices across the UK. Our client is committed to providing holistic financial planning and investment advice to individuals, households, and trustees. This pivotal role involves leading a dedicated team responsible for the platform's administration. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of IFA business and platform administration, strong people management and development capabilities, a commitment to Consumer Duty, and a rigorous adherence to UK financial services regulations.  Key Responsibilities:  
  • Provide regular guidance, support, and performance feedback to the Platform Coordinators, ensuring team members are developed and aligned with the firm’s goals.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to assess their performance, provide coaching, and identify any skills gaps or areas for development. *
  • Implement a continuous development plan for the team, ensuring the necessary training and resources are provided to meet the evolving demands of the platform.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new platform staff as needed.
  • Ensure that all platform-related activities are conducted in compliance with the firm’s regulatory and internal policies and that the team consistently adheres to these standards.
  • Regularly audit platform activities to ensure high standards of compliance and data integrity are met and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for platform usage within the firm, ensuring that the platform is being utilised effectively and efficiently.
  • Oversee platform migration-related tasks within the team, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with the migration plan and timelines.
  • Ensure that platform-related processes are adapted to support the migration of assets, resolving any platform-specific challenges as they arise.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on migration progress, addressing any risks or delays that may impact the project’s success.
  • Ensure smooth communication between the migration team and internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity on timelines, processes, and expectations.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of internal platform training materials, ensuring they align with the latest platform updates and processes.
  • Act as the main liaison between the Platform Coordinators, senior management, and other key internal teams, including compliance, operations, and IT.
  • Provide regular reports on platform performance to senior management, including updates on transaction volumes, migration progress, compliance audits, and operational efficiency.
  • Adhoc project support
  A candidate must have a proven record managing and developing a team of platform administrators within FS, WM or Fintech. Have a strong understanding of investment platforms and experience in change management, training, and stakeholder engagement. Excellent communication and organisational skills, experience of Intelliflo be proficient in Microsoft applications are essential.
