?? The Role

The successful candidate will be a key member of the personal tax team, managing a diverse portfolio that includes high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), non-domiciled clients, sole traders, partnerships, and offshore trusts. This position is far from routine compliance — it offers substantial advisory exposure and a strong voice within the firm.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Advisory services, with a focus on inheritance tax (IHT), residency and domicile issues, and offshore structuring
  • Review and oversight of personal tax returns
  • Partner collaboration, both strategic and operational
  • Business development via events and thought leadership contributions

With upcoming changes to non-dom rules in 2025, this is a prime opportunity for someone looking to lead complex advisory projects.

?? Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied and high-value personal tax portfolio
  • Advise clients on IHT, residency, pre-arrival planning, and non-dom changes
  • Act as the main contact for clients and their advisers on a wide range of issues
  • Prepare, review, and file personal tax returns
  • Lead client meetings, budgeting, and delivery oversight
  • Mentor junior staff and manage a small team
  • Represent the firm at networking events and internal seminars

?? Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in private client tax, including work with non-doms and offshore structures
  • CTA-qualified (or equivalent), with strong personal tax expertise
  • Confident communicator, able to engage clients and colleagues with ease
  • Passionate about mentoring and team development
  • Highly organised and deadline-focused
  • Bonus if already engaged in planning around 2025 non-dom reforms

?? Tech & Tools

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and cloud-based tax platforms
  • Supported by a modern tech infrastructure and a digitally savvy team

? Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus performance bonuses
  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working environment
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Private medical options
  • Social events, summer hours, and early Friday finishes
  • Transparent career progression and partner accessibility

The Culture

This is a heritage firm with a start-up mindset — open, collaborative, ego-free, and forward-thinking. The environment supports growth, values autonomy, and puts a premium on meaningful work in private client tax.
