Join a leading law firm specialising in media, technology, and intellectual property. They are looking for a Revenue Manager to lead their  Revenue function, ensuring effective financial risk management and driving the team towards success.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with heads of practice groups to ensure prompt fee earner time recording.
  • Manage the full working capital cycle from time recording through to cash collection, driving cash into the business and mitigating financial risks associated with client relationships.
  • Line manage the Revenue team, identifying training needs, contributing to their development, and supporting with problematic client debtors as needed.
  • Mitigate financial risks on client matters, making areas of risk identifiable and reportable to the CFO.
  • Produce meaningful and insightful forecasts, WIP, and debt reporting.
  • Ensure the Billing team delivers excellent service and adheres to billing SLAs.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for billing queries including VAT, e-billing, exchange rate issues, and disbursements.
  • Support the Billing Supervisor in streamlining processes and implementing new systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in leading revenue and credit control functions efficiently.
  • Good technical knowledge of billing, e-billing platforms, VAT, disbursements, and Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to build rapport and gain trust, prioritising client needs.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of international revenue management, including foreign exchange.
  • Expertise in Revenue Cycle management including credit assessing clients, financial risk management of clients and matters, time recording, WIP, and debt.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the resilience to raise questions when required.
  • Strong leadership skills to keep the team engaged in a highly pressurised target-driven environment.
  • Effective team player across the wider finance team and firm.
  • Innovative and strategic thinker for the future of the function.
  • The role would either suit an experienced manager or someone wanting to take their next steps into management
