School Finance Manager – Primary School

Location: Wandsworth
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £41,500 to £44,400 depending on experience

CloudStone Education Services are working with a primary school in Southwest London. They are looking for a Finance Manager to play a key role in ensuring the school runs smoothly and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the school’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and manage income and expenditure in line with school and local authority policies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements.
  • Prepare reports for the Headteacher, Governors, and external bodies.
  • Consult with suppliers, the local authority, and other stakeholders.
  • Support funding applications and income generation initiatives.
  • Work closely with administrative staff to streamline financial processes.

What we are Looking For:

  • AAT qualification (or equivalent) or working towards it.
  • Previous experience in financial management, ideally in an educational or public sector setting.
  • Strong IT and Excel skills; experience with school finance systems (e.g. SIMS/FMS, Arbor, or similar) is an advantage.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A team player who is proactive and solution-focused.
